Roll Out of Cargo Monitoring Booking Module for Goods Under Customs Control & Transit Motor Vehicle Units’ Drivers

Kenya Revenue Authority wishes to notify all stakeholders of the planned roll-out of a module to enhance management of cargo under customs control. The module will enable licensed transporters under the C40, Transit Goods License/s (TGL) Regimes, and Transit Motor Vehicle (MV) Units Drivers to book their trucks for arming whenever they intend to load cargo at any designated Customs Area. The key objective is to improve operational efficiency at the loading points.

In view of this, the authority has scheduled online sensitization sessions for the licensed Transporters/ Logistics firms and MV Units Drivers who convey goods under customs control, that will be held from 27th to 1st July 2022 as follows:

Management teams and persons responsible for booking-in trucks at the Port/CFS/Export/SEZ/EPZ Loading points will be held on 27 & 28/06/2022 as from 9:00-11:00am (1st Session) and 14:30-16:30 hrs (second session)

Clerical team and truck drivers: will be held on 29/06/2022 as from 9:00-11:00am (1st Session) and 14:30-16:30 hrs (second session)

MV Unit Drivers: 30/06/2022 and 1st July 2022 as from 9:00-10:00am (1st Session) and 11:00-12.00 hrs (second session) and 14:30-15:30 hrs (third session)

This is therefore to request the said firms to nominate two representatives/employees from their companies, to participate in the online sensitization sessions. Details including email addresses of the nominees and the MV unit Drivers should be sent to Catherine.mule@kra.go.ke and Michael.Chege@kra.go.ke.

The module roll-out will commence immediately after the sessions stated above. Further details can be obtained from our arming offices and/or Rapid Response Unit (RRU) offices countrywide or by calling our Central Command Centre (CMC) 0709012902 which operates on 24-hour basis.
