Information: Kenya Revenue Authority aims at making tax compliance a delightful and convenient experience to our customers. The Authority has established Complaints and Information Centre (CIC) within the office of the Commissioner General as a redress mechanism for handling taxpayer’s complaints and Access to Information. The Office works specifically with those taxpayers who are unable to resolve a service, procedural or administrative complaint through the normal complaints management mechanism. We do our utmost to assist taxpayers in resolving their complaints speedily, amicably and free of charge before considering a protracted court processes.
The office receives informer’s information under the informers reward scheme. Members of the public are encouraged to report to CIC all cases of corruption and other drawbacks including failure to file returns, failure to pay correct taxes, tax evasion activities, non-payment of duty on imported goods including motor vehicles, diversion of transit goods, undisclosed payments to employees, unethical conduct by KRA officers and /or taxpayers among others. The information will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
